This acquisition underscores a growing recognition that traditional detection methods, such as radar and radio frequency scanners, are insufficient against drones that can operate autonomously or switch off their transmitters. Frenel Imaging’s technology relies on physical principles rather than emitted signals, enabling detection even when drones are silent. This capability is critical for protecting sensitive sites like airports, military bases, and correctional facilities.
