Woodbridge Pacific Group Earns Seven SoCal MAME Nominations for Desert Home Designs

Woodbridge Pacific Group (WPG) has received seven nominations in the 2026 SoCal MAME Awards, recognizing its new design collections in California's desert communities. The nominations span architectural design and interior merchandising for three distinct home designs, underscoring the builder's attention to detail and its growing influence in the competitive Southern California housing market.

The SoCal MAME judges honored Plans Two and Four at Solace in Miralon for Architectural Design, and named Solace as an Architectural Series. Additionally, the Daybreak design at Cotino, a Storyliving by Disney community in Rancho Mirage, earned a nomination for Architectural Design. All three designs were also recognized for Interior Merchandising of the model homes. These nominations matter because they signal to potential homebuyers that WPG's desert properties meet high standards of aesthetics and functionality, which can influence purchasing decisions in a niche market that values distinctive design.

Hannouche Architects in Newport Beach served as the architectural firm for all nominated homes, while Chameleon Design of Costa Mesa created each model home's interior merchandising. Each of the three designs is eligible for the So Cal MAME's Home of the Year designation, to be announced at the November 14 awards ceremonies at the Westin Resort in Anaheim. Winning or even being nominated for such a prestigious award can boost a builder's reputation and marketability, potentially leading to increased sales and investor confidence.

Lisa Parrish, Judging Chair for So Cal MAME Awards, said, "WPG and its team have earned a fine reputation for notable attention to detail, and these superb desert homes show us why this design/development team is so celebrated." The recognition from industry peers validates WPG's design philosophy and could attract more buyers to its communities.

WPG President Andrew Murphy expressed his delight: "We are delighted with these nominations and delighted that Hannouche and Chameleon are an important part of these prestigious honors. All of us strive to create new homes with persuasive, versatile designs, and to place these homes in locations that enrich the desert lifestyle for a wide variety of move-up and empty nester shoppers." This focus on versatile designs and desirable locations is crucial for appealing to discerning buyers in the desert market, where lifestyle and environment play significant roles.

The So Cal MAME Awards is one of homebuilding's most prestigious competitions, welcoming entries in 2026 in some 30 categories that celebrate the achievements of design, planning and development companies and individual professionals. Earning multiple nominations in such a competitive arena elevates WPG's profile among industry professionals and consumers alike.

Murphy added, "Solace and Daybreak epitomize the excellence our shoppers expect from WPG neighborhoods. We are proud to see these desert homes take their place among our winning collections." This pride reflects the company's commitment to quality and its track record of delivering award-winning homes.
