Wisconsin Business Owners to Share Transition Strategies at EPI Forum

The Exit Planning Institute (EPI) Wisconsin Chapter is set to host its annual Business Owner Forum on September 17, from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Westmoor Country Club in Brookfield, Wisconsin. The event aims to provide business owners and exit planning professionals with actionable strategies for successful transitions, with a particular focus on family business owner transitions.

The forum will feature interviews with three Wisconsin business owners who have recently navigated ownership transitions. Two of these owners transitioned their companies to the next generation, while a third made the decision to sell their company to a public buyer. These firsthand accounts are designed to offer attendees a realistic view of the challenges and opportunities involved in exit planning.

Erik Owen, President of EPI Wisconsin, emphasized the value of the forum's format: "EPI Wisconsin's Business Owner Forums provide a confidential space for discussions with local business owners and industry professionals focused on exit planning. This year, we are excited to feature in-depth interviews with three family business owners who recently exited their businesses along with expert insights from five advisors who have built successful exit planning practices."

The event is expected to attract business owners seeking to understand their options for transitioning their businesses, as well as exit planning professionals such as financial advisors and business consultants. Attendees will learn key strategies for successful transitions and hear from owners who have undertaken leadership and ownership transitions in today's market.

For more information and to register, interested parties can visit the EPI website. The forum is part of EPI's broader mission to serve professional business advisors' educational and resource needs, which began when the institute was formed in 2005. EPI's Certified Exit Planning Advisor (CEPA®) credential program is widely recognized globally, providing advisors with the content, tools, and training needed to engage business owners and become their most valued advisors.

The forum underscores the growing importance of exit planning in the business community, as many business owners face the challenge of transitioning their companies in the coming years. By sharing real-world experiences, EPI Wisconsin aims to equip attendees with practical knowledge that can help them navigate their own transition journeys.
