VinFast and GSM have announced new leadership appointments, with Mr. Pham Nhat Quan Anh assuming the role of CEO of VinFast Global, succeeding Mr. Pham Nhat Vuong, and Mr. Nguyen Quoc Tuan becoming Chairman of GSM Global, succeeding Ms. Pham Thu Huong. Mr. Pham Nhat Minh Hoang will take over as CEO of GSM Global. These changes come as Vingroup and its ecosystem companies focus on developing in-house talent and transitioning leadership to a younger generation to support their growth trajectories.
The leadership transitions are significant as both VinFast and GSM are entering periods of strong global expansion. VinFast, an electric vehicle manufacturer, currently operates in 16 countries, including Vietnam, India, Indonesia, the Philippines, Europe, the Middle East, and North America, with manufacturing facilities in Vietnam, Indonesia, and India. GSM, which runs the Green SM electric taxi service, operates in seven countries and plans to expand to at least three more markets this year. The appointments are expected to bring fresh perspectives and energy to drive these ambitious plans.
Mr. Pham Nhat Quan Anh, born in 1993, holds a Bachelor's degree from Singapore Management University and has held key leadership positions at VinFast and other Vingroup companies. He was appointed Chairman of VinFast Global in May 2026 and will now also serve as Chairman and CEO of VinFast Vietnam. In his statement, he said, "I am deeply honored by the Board of Directors' trust and confidence in entrusting me with the additional responsibility. Built on a strong foundation established over the years and supported by the growing confidence of customers across our markets, VinFast is well positioned to seize the significant opportunities ahead and further strengthen its role in advancing the global transition to sustainable mobility." He will continue as CEO of VinMetal Trading and Production JSC.
At GSM, Mr. Nguyen Quoc Tuan, previously CEO of GSM Global, becomes Chairman, while Mr. Pham Nhat Minh Hoang, born in 2000, assumes the role of CEO of GSM Global and CEO of GSM Vietnam. Mr. Hoang has held senior positions at VinFast, Green Future, VinSmart Future, and GSM, and is a major shareholder in several Vingroup ecosystem companies, including VinSpeed, VinEnergo, VinMetal, VinVentures, and robotics firms. His diverse experience is expected to aid GSM's goal of becoming a globally scaled public company listed on an international stock exchange.
These leadership changes are crucial as they position VinFast and GSM to navigate the demanding requirements of their next development phase. By promoting younger leaders, Vingroup aims to sustain its growth momentum and enhance its competitive edge in the global market. The appointments reflect positive expectations for the future of both companies as they continue their international expansion. For more information, visit VinFast and GSM.
