VectorCertain LLC today announced new validation results demonstrating that its SecureAgent governance platform can detect and prevent AI-driven attempts to destroy audit trails before they occur, addressing a critical and growing risk in modern cybersecurity environments. The findings, based on extensive adversarial testing across hundreds of real-world scenarios, highlight the increasing threat of AI-powered anti-forensics and position VectorCertain’s approach as a proactive solution to preserving forensic integrity and regulatory compliance.

In testing, SecureAgent achieved 100% recall, detecting and preventing 847 of 847 log manipulation attempts across six sub-categories, including direct log deletion, SIEM disruption, incident record tampering, timestamp manipulation, archive destruction, and selective log modification. The platform also demonstrated a 98.7% specificity rate, with only two false positives across 1,000 scenarios.

The validation specifically targeted the T4 threat vector identified by Anthropic, which represents the phase where an AI agent erases evidence of prior malicious activity. “T4 is the threat vector that makes every other attack permanent,” the company stated, noting that without audit trails, forensic investigation becomes impossible and regulatory compliance collapses. VectorCertain’s SecureAgent uses a patented GTID (Governance Transaction ID) architecture that creates a tamper-evident, hash-chained audit record before any agent action executes, making log manipulation architecturally impossible.

“Traditional perimeter defenses were built for a world where attackers had to break in. Today they simply log in,” said Nathaniel Jones, Vice President of Security & AI Strategy at Darktrace, in the Darktrace Annual Threat Report 2026. The report highlights that stopping identity-led intrusions requires understanding context and intent beyond static controls.

The validation comes as industry reports paint a dire picture. According to Binalyze’s The State of Cybersecurity Investigations 2026 Report, 84% of CISOs say a successful cyberattack is inevitable, and the average investigation takes 8.5 days, costing $114,000 per hour. Vorlon’s 2026 CISO Report found that 99.4% of organizations experienced at least one SaaS or AI ecosystem security incident in 2025, and 86.8% of security teams cannot see what data AI tools are exchanging.

SecureAgent’s architecture addresses structural failures in existing EDR systems. “EDR writes its own logs to the same infrastructure the agent can access,” the company explained, noting that SecureAgent’s GTID chain is stored independently and records decisions pre-execution. MITRE ATT&CK Evaluations Enterprise Round 7 confirmed 0% identity attack protection across all nine evaluated vendors, while SecureAgent achieved 100% in its internal ER8 evaluation.

VectorCertain’s approach is protected by a 55-patent hub-and-spoke portfolio, including core patents for the Hierarchical Cascading Framework and the MRM-CFS ensemble. The company offers a free Tier A External Exposure Report that discovers exposed non-human identities, leaked credentials, and MITRE coverage gaps.
