Upside Gold Corp. (CSE: UG) (FSE: 47I) (OTCQB: UGODF) has released a progress update on its 10,115-hectare Kena Gold-Copper Property in southeastern British Columbia, highlighting results from a historic data compilation that underscores the property's significant expansion potential.
The compilation integrated decades of exploration data, revealing a large gold-copper mineralized system that extends beyond the historic mineral resource estimate of 2.77 million inferred ounces at 0.486 g/t Au and 0.561 million indicated ounces at 0.544 g/t Au. The system remains open in multiple directions and at depth. Integrated geological, geophysical, and geochemical data outline a mineralized trend spanning at least seven kilometers along strike, with multiple priority gold-copper drill targets identified for the 2026 program, including the potential to define a second major mineralized zone within the Kena Copper Zone.

During the compilation of the drillhole database, it was noted that 24,200 core samples largely recorded only Au results, although over 90% of historic drilling included multi-element analyses. The team systematically extracted silver and copper results from digital and analog certificates, adding them to the master database. Copper values reached up to 71,800 ppm, with over 2,900 samples exceeding 500 ppm Cu, while silver values reached up to 145 ppm, with over 2,650 samples exceeding 1 ppm Ag. These results occur within a database containing 6,300 samples grading greater than 0.25 g/t Au, with widths averaging 1.87 meters. The addition of copper and silver data is expected to demonstrate significant additional value.
The integration of mapped geology, structural interpretation, and geophysical surveys supports the conclusion that mineralization is structurally controlled by the Kena Deformation Zone, a steeply dipping, southeast-trending fault zone marking the contact between the Silver King Porphyry intrusive and Elsie Group volcanic rocks. This structure has a low magnetic signature traceable for at least 11 kilometers. Induced polarization (IP) surveys identify zones of high chargeability and low resistivity, defining disseminated pyrite-hosted mineralization along a four-kilometer strike of the Kena lode gold body and extending an additional three kilometers southeast, suggesting a total strike length of at least seven kilometers.
Sporadic historic drilling outside the resource returned wide intervals of gold and copper mineralization, including 117 meters of 0.22% Cu and 0.14 g/t Au, 88.69 meters of 0.13% Cu and 0.21 g/t Au, and 210 meters of 0.17% Cu and 0.13 g/t Au within the Kena Copper Zone, as well as 90 meters of 0.9 g/t Au in the South Gold Zone. The addition of soil survey data to the model is consistent with the geological interpretation, with gold anomalies also broadening southwest of the lode body.
As summarized in the Company's February 3, 2026 news release, the compilation supports that a major mineralized system exists beyond the current resource boundaries. First priority drill targets for 2026 will focus on the Kena Copper Zone to demonstrate continuity and grade for a second major zone. The work also suggests the mineralized system extends across the southern half of the Property, which remains undrilled.
