Tú Cuentas Cine Youth Fest (TCCYF), a youth-focused film initiative created by HITN, has earned two Telly Awards for its interview series Tú Cuentas Cafecito. The segments, which feature conversations with media executive Ingrid ‘Superstar’ Salcedo and actress-producer Roselyn Sánchez, were recognized in the General–Interview & Talk Show category.
The series received a Silver Telly for its episode with Ingrid Salcedo, an Emmy Award-winning broadcast executive known for shaping prominent Latin music award shows. A second episode featuring Roselyn Sánchez, the Puerto Rican actress from Without a Trace and Devious Maids who recently directed Diario, Mujer y Café, earned a Bronze Telly.
“For the past five years, HITN’s goal with Tú Cuentas has been to create a platform where young filmmakers and storytellers can showcase their voices and their work,” said Cynthia Rivera, co-director of the series. “Seeing our Cafecito series recognized with these Telly Awards is a beautiful affirmation of that vision.”
The awards underscore the growing visibility of Hispanic-centered storytelling in digital and television media. Host Raymond Arturo Pérez, a television writer and creative from San Antonio, Texas, who previously worked on Selena: The Series, brings warmth and authenticity to each conversation, creating a space where guests can openly share their stories.
TCCYF is part of HITN Media, a Spanish-language media company offering educational and cultural programming that reaches over 44 million homes in the United States and Puerto Rico via providers such as DIRECTV, AT&T U-verse, Comcast Xfinity, and Charter Spectrum.
The Telly Awards, established in 1979, honor video and television across all screens, receiving over 13,000 entries annually. Entries are judged by an industry body of over 250 leading experts.
