The Harvest Table, a South African wellness brand, is set to participate in the 2026 ECRM Vitamin, Weight Management & Sports Nutrition Session, scheduled for September 14-17 in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. This move underscores the company's commitment to expanding its presence in the United States while championing a philosophy of transparency and simplicity in the wellness category.
In a market saturated with complex formulations and bold marketing claims, The Harvest Table believes consumers and retailers are seeking products that are easier to understand and trust. Founder Catherine Clark stated, "The wellness category has become incredibly crowded, and consumers are being asked to navigate more products and more marketing messages than ever before. We believe the answer isn't necessarily more ingredients or more complicated formulations. It's creating quality products with purpose and being transparent about what's inside them."
The company's approach centers on looking beyond front-of-package marketing to examine actual product contents. The Harvest Table focuses on carefully selected ingredients and straightforward formulations designed to fit into daily nutrition routines. For instance, its Grass Fed Bovine Collagen Granules offer Types I and III collagen sourced from grass-fed bovine, in a tasteless, instant-dissolving formula without added gums, fillers, preservatives, artificial flavors, or dyes. Alternatively, Multi Collagen Radiance provides a comprehensive blend of Types I, III, V, and X collagen with Vitamin C, Zinc, and Cranberry for those preferring a more complete formulation. For plant-based consumers, the Vegan Protein option is also free from unnecessary additives, illustrating the brand's versatility without compromising transparency.
A key differentiator for The Harvest Table is its in-house manufacturing at a custom-built facility in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. This vertical integration gives the company direct oversight over sourcing, formulation, manufacturing, and quality. The facility passes annual Food Safety Assessment (FSA) audits, meets GMP requirements, and is recognized as a Food Safe Facility, with Halal certification for applicable markets. CEO Sam Clark emphasized, "Quality isn't something we want to add to a marketing message after a product has been developed. It starts with the ingredients we choose, continues through how we formulate and manufacture the product, and ultimately shows up in what the consumer receives. Maintaining that control is an important part of who we are."
The Harvest Table has already taken steps to establish a U.S. footprint. Its initial product range is available on Amazon, including Multi Collagen Radiance (12.35 oz pouch), Bovine Collagen Granules (12.35 oz pouch), and Vegan Protein (19.40 oz pouch). Participation in ECRM will allow the company to introduce its products and ethos to the U.S. retail community, sharing the story of a family-run South African company that has maintained its founding principles.
Clark believes this distinction is crucial in a category where consumers face increasing choices. "We don't believe consumers need more noise," she said. "They need products they can understand and brands they can trust. That's the approach that built The Harvest Table in South Africa, and it's the same approach we're bringing to the United States."
