STEICO SE Reports Mixed Half-Year Results Amid Cost Pressures and Demand Recovery

STEICO SE (ISIN DE000A0LR936) released its Half-Year Report 2026 on July 20, 2026, revealing a mixed performance. With the start of the construction season in the second quarter, demand for STEICO products rose significantly, bringing group turnover to EUR 200.3 million, up 0.6% from EUR 199.1 million in the same period last year. This growth offset the weaker first quarter, but the company faced massive cost increases in the second quarter due to the US–Iran conflict and related supply chain disruptions.

These cost pressures have heavily impacted margins. EBITDA after six months stood at EUR 29.0 million, a decline of 22.1% compared to EUR 37.2 million in the previous year. EBIT fell to EUR 14.7 million, down 30.8% from EUR 21.2 million, resulting in an EBIT margin of 7.5% of total operating revenue. Price increases implemented to offset the cost rises are taking effect with a time lag, and there are currently no signs of sustained easing, with costs continuing to rise in many areas.

Despite these challenges, the Executive Board expects further growth in the second half of the year and believes profit margins will continue to improve. Management confirms the full-year 2026 forecast, expecting revenue growth between -2% and +4% compared to the previous year, corresponding to revenue of around EUR 375 million to EUR 398 million. EBIT is projected to be between EUR 30 million and EUR 38 million, implying an EBIT margin of 8.0% to 9.5%.
