SMT Scharf AG Advances Strategy 2026 with Exclusive Cooperation in Kazakhstan and South Africa

SMT Scharf AG, a global leader in bespoke transport solutions and logistics systems for underground mining, continues to execute its Strategy 2026 by expanding its sales regions and product portfolio. The company announced exclusive cooperation agreements with the CFH Group for the Kazakhstan and South Africa markets, marking a significant step in its strategic realignment.

Under the agreement, CFH Group will serve as an exclusive dealer for all SMT Scharf Group products in Kazakhstan via CFT Kazakhstan T.O.O. Conversely, SMT Scharf will serve as an exclusive dealer for all CFH Group products in South Africa through its subsidiary SMT Scharf Africa (Pty.) Ltd. This reciprocal arrangement is designed to strengthen local footprints and leverage synergies between the two groups.

Strategy 2026 focuses on optimizing global supply chain efficiency, integrating group locations, and diversifying the product portfolio, particularly in electromobility and intelligent transport solutions. This includes the development of light electric vehicles (LEVs) and battery-powered monorails to meet increasing demand for low-emission mining equipment.

Longjiao Wang, CEO of SMT Scharf AG, stated, "With the Strategy 2026, we aim to better serve the demand for low-emission, high-quality transport solutions in underground mining and tunnel logistics. Our cooperation with CFH Group for the Kazakh and South African markets represents an important step in driving our expansion into relevant mining markets worldwide."

The cooperation is part of broader efforts to diversify the product portfolio, including partnerships with two Chinese suppliers in the LEV segment. SMT Scharf will continue to focus on key markets such as China and Poland while exploring expansion into additional markets.

CFH Group is a globally active provider of air technology and environmental solutions for mining and tunneling industries. The agreement lays the groundwork for integrating products across the group and capitalizing on synergies.
