Licensed barber Seven Nelson has announced the opening of SevensCutAbove at the Salon and Spa Galleria Fort Worth Highway in Weatherford, Texas. A graduate of Weatherford College's Barber Program, Nelson brings two years of industry experience and a lifelong passion for haircutting, having grown up watching his mother work as a hairstylist. The new shop aims to provide sharp, detailed cuts in a relaxing environment.
Nelson emphasized his commitment to client satisfaction, stating, "I take my time with each client, to make certain that I execute the image they had in mind, along with providing laidback, chill vibes. It's important to me that every client leaves feeling confident again." Services at SevensCutAbove include detailed fades, low drops, tapers, hot-lather shaves, and beard shape-ups.
A notable aspect of the business is Nelson's specialization in sensory-safe cuts, designed for individuals with sensory issues due to special needs or haircut trauma. Accommodations include softer lighting, quieter spaces, flexible pacing, and the use of scissors instead of clippers if needed. "As a sensory-safe barber, I've learned how to work with kids in the spectrum," Nelson said. "My goal is to create trust, not trauma."
