Schaeffler Automotive Symposium Unveils Expanded Portfolio and Systems Expertise for Future Mobility

At the 13th Schaeffler Automotive Symposium, held from June 15 to 17, 2026, at the new Project and Technology Center in Bühl, Germany, Schaeffler AG presented its latest product innovations and technological developments under the theme "Beyond Driving. Innovation made by Schaeffler." The event, which drew over 300 customers, marked the first time the company showcased its expanded competencies resulting from the integration of Vitesco Technologies, combining mechanical engineering and mechatronics with new expertise in electronics and sensors.

Klaus Rosenfeld, CEO of Schaeffler AG, emphasized the importance of the symposium as a platform for lively discussions and firsthand experience of innovations. "As a motion technology company, we will present the expanded competencies and product portfolio combining our strengths in mechanical engineering and mechatronics with new complementary expertise in electronics and sensors resulting from our successful integration of Vitesco Technologies for the first time ever at this event," Rosenfeld said. He also highlighted that by 2035, Schaeffler aims to generate 10 percent of its revenue in new segments, while the core automotive business remains central.

The transformation of mobility and heterogeneous market developments worldwide demand high innovative capacity, resilience, and speed to market. Thomas Stierle, CEO E-Mobility at Schaeffler AG, noted, "The dynamic developments in our markets present big challenges – and we are prepared to meet them. With our broad portfolio, our global presence and local supply chains, and our pronounced systems expertise, we consistently transfer innovations to mass production." The company is actively advancing the mobility transformation toward higher efficiency and comprehensive electrification.

Matthias Zink, CEO Powertrain & Chassis at Schaeffler AG, described the company's role as a technology partner on eye level. "At the symposium, we will present integrated product innovations for cars, trucks, and two-wheelers from a single source and show how Schaeffler supports customers as a preferred technology partner with extensive systems expertise and a high level of vertical integration," Zink said. He stressed the company's system-based approach to link functions intelligently for a better driving experience.

Schaeffler presented more than 320 products at the symposium, grouped into four technology clusters: Vehicle Control, Chassis & Body, Powertrain, and Energy Management for passenger cars. In commercial vehicles, the company showcased zero-emission solutions for battery-electric vehicles (BEVs), fuel cell-electric vehicles (FCEVs), and hydrogen-powered internal combustion engines (H2-ICE). For two-wheelers, Schaeffler displayed bearings, engine control units, automatic transmissions, and connectivity solutions.

The customer event, organized once every four years, is global in scope. After Bühl, the symposium will travel to Detroit (USA) on September 17, Suzhou (China) from November 4 to 6, and Tokyo (Japan) from December 2 to 3. A recording of the press conference is available at video.schaeffler.com, and press photos can be found at www.schaeffler.com/en/executive-board.

Schaeffler Group, with around 110,000 employees and more than 250 locations in 55 countries, continues to drive motion technology innovations. The company's comprehensive range includes bearing solutions, linear guidance systems, and repair and monitoring services, aiming to make motion more efficient, intelligent, and sustainable.
