SAF-HOLLAND SE, a leading global supplier of trailer and truck components, has announced the appointment of Alexandre Charpiot as the new President EMEA, effective September 1, 2026. He succeeds Christoph Gunter, who will be leaving the company to take on a new leadership role outside the SAF-HOLLAND Group. The transition marks a strategic move to align regional leadership with the company's long-term growth objectives under its drive2030 strategy.
Christoph Gunter, who served as President EMEA and member of the executive team for nearly seven years, was responsible for the group's largest regional business. His tenure included the successful integration of Haldex in the EMEA region and the development of new growth opportunities in strategically important markets. Alexander Geis, Chairman of the Management Board and CEO of SAF-HOLLAND SE, expressed gratitude for Gunter's contributions, stating, "Christoph Gunter has successfully led and further developed the EMEA region in recent years. On behalf of the entire management team, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to him for his trust and cooperation, and I wish him all the best and continued success in his professional and personal future."
Alexandre Charpiot, an experienced executive with over 15 years at the company, brings extensive expertise in sales, aftermarket, and original equipment businesses. Since joining SAF-HOLLAND in 2009, he has held various leadership roles, including Vice President Sales OEM EMEA since 2022, where he led sales activities, oversaw European subsidiaries, and played a key role in integrating Haldex, Tecma, and Assali Stefen. His background also includes managing aftermarket operations, logistics, purchasing, and product management. "Thanks to his extensive experience in the commercial vehicle industry, his long-standing collaboration with international customers, and his strong sales expertise, Alexandre Charpiot is ideally positioned to continue the region's successful development," the company stated.
In his new role, Charpiot will focus on aligning the EMEA region with the strategic goals of the drive2030 strategy, which emphasizes strengthening market position, optimizing operational performance, and pursuing additional growth opportunities across the product portfolio. The appointment underscores SAF-HOLLAND's commitment to continuity and strategic growth in the EMEA region, which remains critical to the company's global operations.
