In a heartfelt gesture of gratitude, Rooftop Relief, a roofing contractor in Cincinnati, OH, has completed a free seamless gutter installation for Jerry Townsley, a local military veteran. Jerry Townsley, a graduate of Milford High School, served four years on active duty in the United States Navy aboard the aircraft carrier USS Forrestal (CVA-59). He then continued his military career with 20 years in the United States Air Force at Rickenbacker Air Force Base. In addition to his military service, Townsley devoted 39 years to civil service, culminating in a lifetime of dedication to his community and country.
The initiative began when severe storms damaged the gutters on Townsley's barn in Greater Cincinnati. He contacted Rooftop Relief to inquire about a Veteran discount for the necessary repairs. Upon learning of Townsley's distinguished service record, co-founders Jerry Vineyard and Ryan Collins decided that a discount was insufficient. They chose to replace the entire seamless gutter system on the barn free of charge.
"When Mr. Townsley called us asking for a Veteran discount after severe storm damage tore up his barn's gutters, Ryan and I looked at his decades of service in the Navy, Air Force, and civil service and knew right away—a discount wasn't enough. Replacing his gutters completely free of charge was the least we could do to show our gratitude," said Jerry Vineyard, co-founder of Rooftop Relief.
This donation marks the latest expansion of the Veteran roof donation Greater Cincinnati initiative. As an Owens Corning Preferred Contractor, Rooftop Relief has built a reputation for quality storm damage inspections, roof replacements, and seamless gutter installations.
"Our annual Veteran program started with roofs, but stories like Jerry Townsley's remind us that home protection involves the complete exterior," added co-founder Ryan Collins.
