The Nordex Group has been awarded a contract by Swedish renewable energy developer OX2 to supply and install 11 N175/6.X turbines for the Urleasca wind farm in Romania. The 77 MW project, located near the village of Urleasca in Brăila County, approximately 150 kilometers northeast of Bucharest, also includes a 35-year Premium Service agreement. This order reinforces Nordex's expanding footprint in Romania, where it has contracted more than 500 MW in recent months.
In parallel, OX2 has sold the ready-to-build Urleasca wind farm to Scatec ASA, a Norwegian renewable energy solutions provider. OX2 will manage the entire construction phase, which is scheduled to begin in the third quarter of 2026, with commissioning expected in the second half of 2028. The project benefits from a long-term Contract-for-Difference (CfD) with the Romanian State, providing revenue certainty and underpinning its financial viability.
