Noble Mineral Exploration Inc. (TSX-V:NOB, FRANKFURT: NB7, OTCQB:NLPXF) has announced the start of Phase 2 summer exploration programs on its Chapiteau Rare Earth Property in Labrador and the Mehmet Rare Earth Property in Quebec. The programs, scheduled for late June and early July 2026, will involve helicopter-supported surface exploration to advance these early-stage critical mineral projects.
The Chapiteau Rare Earth Property, located in western Labrador, consists of 43 map-staked units covering part of a large REE-enriched alkaline intrusive system. Previous work by Midland Exploration identified numerous REE targets, with grab samples returning up to 8.34% Total Rare Earth Oxides (TREO) and heavy rare earth enrichment up to 12.85% HREO. Within Noble's claims, six grab samples exceeded 0.5% TREO, ranging from 1.4% to 3.02% TREO. The only known drill hole on the property, Y3-11-04, returned anomalous REE values averaging approximately 0.14% TREO + Y2O3 over its entire length, indicating a large mineralized system. The property is situated about 100 km south of the Strange Lake REE deposits and 38 km northeast of the Crater Lake Scandium-REE resource, placing it in one of Canada's most prospective rare earth districts.
The Mehmet Rare Earth Property in northeastern Quebec is classified as a hyperalkaline rare-metals showing, a geological environment that can host REEs, niobium, zirconium, tantalum, and uranium. One sample from the property contained 2157.1 ppm total rare earth elements, including 550 ppm neodymium, 623 ppm lanthanum, and 1027.3 ppm cerium. Such critical minerals are essential for electric vehicles, wind turbines, permanent magnets, and advanced defense technologies.
Noble President & CEO H. Vance White stated, “we are pleased to get this program underway in order to determine the expected follow up programs later this summer and early fall.” The company has engaged Canadian Helicopters out of Goose Bay, Labrador, to provide helicopter support for the Chapiteau project.
The exploration programs are part of Noble's strategy to advance its portfolio of critical mineral properties in Canada. The company holds mineral rights in approximately 70,000 hectares in Northern Ontario and 25,000 hectares in Quebec, including the Buckingham Graphite Property, Havre St Pierre Nickel-Copper-PGM property, and other REE and uranium properties.
