Independent studio Crit Team, part of ChillyRoom Game, announced that a public multiplayer demo for No Such Place is now available on Steam as of June 15, 2026, just ahead of Steam Next Fest. The demo supports solo play and 1–4 player online co-op, with progression data partially carrying over to the full release scheduled for Q4 2026.
No Such Place is a top-down PvE extraction shooter where players assume the role of agents from the Unknown Research Consortium (U.R.C.), a secretive organization investigating supernatural anomalies erased from history. Missions involve exploring fragmented dimensions such as abandoned military outposts, mist-shrouded research facilities, and frozen mountains. Players must scavenge for weapons, medicine, and supplies while uncovering ancient relics and classified documents. The primary objective is to locate an extraction point and return safely to the Safehouse.
The demo includes early game progression and allows players to experience the weapon customization system, which permits mixing parts from different eras and technologies—such as attaching a motorcycle suppressor to an assault rifle or using corrupted rifle magazines in a pocket pistol. The game also features multiple progression paths where physical attributes and weapon proficiencies improve through use, and a Safehouse system for building and upgrading using recovered resources.
Crit Team emphasized that threats come not only from monsters but also from rival agents, mercenaries, and deranged survivors. The demo supports English, Japanese, and Chinese languages.
