Spasticity & Movement Partners, a specialty rehabilitation practice founded by Dr. David Park, has opened its doors in Englewood, New Jersey. The practice, located at 15 Engle St, Suite 106, aims to provide focused, compassionate, and evidence-based care for individuals living with spasticity and complex movement challenges. According to a press release, the practice offers a personalized path forward for patients seeking to reduce pain, improve mobility, and regain confidence in daily life.

Dr. David Park, a board-certified physiatrist with advanced training in physical medicine and rehabilitation, pain management, and spasticity care, leads the practice. Dr. Park completed Boston University's accelerated BA/MD program, a residency at Tufts Medical Center, and a fellowship in pain management in Manhattan.

The practice offers comprehensive spasticity assessments, including neurologic and musculoskeletal evaluation, range of motion testing, and goal setting. Treatment options include oral medications such as baclofen, tizanidine, and diazepam, as well as targeted procedures like botulinum toxin injections (Botox, Dysport, Xeomin, Myobloc) and phenol nerve blocks, often guided by ultrasound or electromyography. For severe spasticity, intrathecal baclofen pump management is available, including refills and dose adjustments.
A key feature of Spasticity & Movement Partners is its multidisciplinary approach, collaborating with physical and occupational therapists, neurologists, primary care physicians, and other specialists. The practice emphasizes measurable progress, tracking goals such as improved walking distance, safer transfers, and reduced pain. Caregivers are also supported through education and inclusion in care planning.
