Beth McCall, a registered dietitian, sports nutrition specialist, and founder of 'Purposeful Fueling', has announced the release of her debut book, Hello Peace, published by Lucid Books. The book invites women to trade fear, comparison, and shame for lasting peace in Christ, drawing from McCall's personal journey through an eating disorder, pregnancy, and motherhood.
In a culture that imposes impossible standards on women, Hello Peace offers a refreshing invitation to lay down the pursuit of perfection and find freedom in Christ. McCall shares her story with vulnerability, addressing struggles with body image and identity. 'This book was born during a season of deep prayer while I was pregnant with my son. I was wrestling with fear, identity, and old wounds,' McCall said. She felt led to turn her private journaling into a resource for other women.
More than a memoir, the book serves as an interactive spiritual companion, featuring journaling prompts and Scripture-based application. McCall's transparent storytelling creates space for women to process their own experiences, emphasizing that true peace comes from allowing God to transform their hearts. 'This book doesn't simply tell my story. It invites readers into their own,' she explained.
As a dietitian with over a decade of experience working with athletes, McCall understands physical wellness but insists that lasting health extends beyond nutrition. 'Our culture spends so much time teaching women how to change their bodies. God wants to transform our hearts,' she said. The book aims to anchor identity in Christ rather than in appearance.
McCall credits her faith and family for inspiring her work. Writing Hello Peace taught her that vulnerability is an act of obedience. 'One of the greatest challenges was having the courage to share the parts of my story that are still tender,' she said. Yet she believes God uses healed wounds to bring healing to others.
For aspiring authors, McCall advises, 'Just begin. I never started journaling because I planned to write a book. I simply had something on my heart and followed where God was leading.' The book is available through Lucid Books and other retailers.
