Nevada Organic Phosphate Inc. (CSE: NOP; OTCQB: NOPFF) reported on Tuesday that heavy metal assays from the Upper Phosphatic Zone at its Murdock Mountain project remain significantly below maximum limits typically required for organic fertilizer certification. The company stated that weighted average concentrations of arsenic, cadmium, mercury, lead and other regulated metals were well under the thresholds established under AAPFCO’s SUIP #25 guidelines and California standards. The results come from drill hole MM26-9, which returned an intersection grading 10.73% P₂O₅ over 4.50 meters of drilled thickness.

The company said the findings reinforce the consistency of phosphate grades, thicknesses and low contaminant levels across the Upper Phosphatic Zone as it moves forward with exploration. Nevada Organic Phosphate noted that the assay work was completed by ALS Laboratories under ISO/IEC 17025:2017 accreditation, and that company quality assurance and quality control procedures, including the use of blanks and certified reference materials, support the reliability of the reported analytical results. These results are critical for the company as it seeks to position the Murdock Mountain project as a potential source of organic phosphate, a niche market with stringent contaminant limits.

The Murdock Mountain project, located in northeast Nevada, contains an organic sedimentary raw rock phosphate bed 6.6 kilometers long, with additional applications extending the potential strike to over 30 kilometers. The company believes this to be the only known large-scale organic sedimentary phosphate project in North America. The project is situated close to the main highway to Montello/Elko, Nevada, and near the rail head to California, providing logistical advantages for future development.
