Nevada Organic Phosphate Inc. (CSE: NOP; OTCQB: NOPFF) has announced that Falcon Drilling is mobilizing to its Murdock Mountain property to complete the planned 2026 drilling program. The company reported that drill hole MM26-10 successfully intersected the Upper Phosphate Zone, extending the confirmed strike length of phosphate mineralization to more than 3 kilometres, with additional drilling planned along the strike trend.
The extension of the confirmed strike length is significant because it suggests the phosphate mineralized system at Murdock Mountain is more laterally continuous than previously known. Continued step-out drilling is designed to test strike continuity and refine true-thickness and grade controls across the broader trend. Further interpretation of assay data also confirmed that MM26-8 intersected the Upper Phosphate Zone, returning 4.60% P2O5 over 5 metres true thickness. These results provide early validation of the company's exploration model and support the potential for a larger mineralized footprint.
Nevada Organic Phosphate is a junior exploration company with an organic sedimentary raw rock phosphate bed, 6.6 kilometres long, in northeast Nevada. Additional applications extend the potential strike of rock phosphate to over 30 kilometres. This is believed to be the only known large-scale organic sedimentary phosphate project in North America. The project is situated close to the main highway to Montello/Elko, Nevada, and near the rail head to California, which could provide logistical advantages for future development.
The strategic importance of this announcement lies in its potential to address a critical supply gap. Phosphate is an essential nutrient for agriculture, and organic phosphate is particularly sought after for organic farming. With limited large-scale organic phosphate sources in North America, a domestic resource could reduce reliance on imports and support food security. The proximity to transportation infrastructure further enhances the project's economic appeal.
For investors, the news signals progress in de-risking the project through systematic exploration. The confirmation of the Upper Phosphate Zone in multiple drill holes and the extension of the strike length are positive technical milestones. However, the company remains in the exploration stage, and further drilling is needed to establish a mineral resource. The 2026 program will be closely watched for additional assay results that could expand the known mineralization.
