naoo AG (Dusseldorf: NAO; ISIN: CH1323306329), operator of the social media and commerce platform naoo, announced the launch of naoo Generation V, a rebuilt platform that integrates merchant tools and map-based local discovery. The release marks a pivotal milestone in naoo’s strategy to create a closed-loop ecosystem bridging digital attention and physical point-of-sale interaction.
Generation V is based on a fully renewed technological foundation, with frontend and backend fundamentally rebuilt for scalability. The platform includes redesigned navigation, improved user experience, and a modern Java backend. The naoo business merchant layer is now directly integrated into the app, enabling local activation formats. The rollout follows a phased model to ensure rapid merchant integration while maintaining content quality.
A major focus is the enhancement of map functionality, connecting digital content with physical places. Five cities are preconfigured: Zurich, Geneva, Berlin, London and New York City. Users will discover curated local content on the map, including selected places and local relevance.
In combination with Kingfluencers AG, naoo sees the new platform as an important basis for extending digital attention into measurable local activation. By end of February 2026, naoo had reached approximately 160,000 cumulative downloads.
“With Generation V, naoo has a product architecture that creates unique value through local incentives, measurable activation around physical places leading to new funnel extension opportunities between digital attention and real-world interaction,” said Gregor Doser, Chief Commercial Officer and Managing Director of naoo AG. The company expects the integrated merchant layer and new architecture to support scalable merchant monetisation.
