LiverRight and Aegle Medical Solutions, LLC have formed a strategic partnership to expand access to non-invasive liver assessment, specialist interpretation, diagnosis, and ongoing liver care across the United States. The collaboration combines Aegle Medical's advanced liver assessment technology—including the Mindray Hepatus-Series Transient Elastography Diagnostic Ultrasound Systems—with LiverRight's national virtual liver clinic, which provides specialist interpretation and access to hepatology clinicians. The partnership is designed to help physicians and healthcare organizations establish or expand comprehensive liver disease programs without building every component internally.
For healthcare providers, the partnership offers a more connected pathway from liver disease identification to longitudinal management. Aegle Medical provides consultative technology evaluation, implementation, clinical training, and ongoing support, while LiverRight offers same-day interpretation services for liver elastography studies and same-week virtual access to its hepatology clinicians. LiverRight's Liververse™ referral system coordinates bloodwork, patient-reported outcomes, available imaging, diagnosis, and ongoing disease management. This integrated approach aims to bring advanced liver assessment closer to communities where patients already receive care, improving access to specialists and creating a more efficient pathway from risk identification to diagnosis and treatment.
The implications of this partnership are significant for addressing the high prevalence of undiagnosed liver disease in the United States. By moving advanced liver assessment into outpatient settings and providing timely specialist interpretation, the collaboration can help identify liver disease earlier and improve patient outcomes. "Aegle Medical Solutions is helping hospital systems and independent practices nationwide address the significant number of adults living with undiagnosed liver disease in the United States," said Brandon Tudor, CEO of LiverRight. "By working together, we help practices bring advanced liver assessment into the outpatient setting, provide timely specialist interpretation, and move patients into the appropriate diagnostic and care workflow with greater efficiency."
Michael McTighe, President & CEO of Aegle Medical Solutions, emphasized the value of the partnership: "This strategic partnership with LiverRight represents an important step forward in our shared vision of expanding access to liver disease detection and care within the communities we serve. By connecting those capabilities with LiverRight's nationwide virtual liver-care network and same-day interpretation services, we can provide our customers with more than technology—we can help them establish a more complete pathway from assessment to diagnosis and ongoing patient management." He added that the model is particularly valuable for communities with limited access to hepatology specialists.
Central to the partnership is the Mindray Hepatus platform, which introduces Visualized Transient Elastography (ViTE), a next-generation technology that integrates real-time B-mode ultrasound visualization directly into elastography examinations. Unlike conventional transient elastography, ViTE allows operators to see liver anatomy, identify optimal measurement locations, and visually guide each acquisition while obtaining quantitative liver stiffness and attenuation measurements. The Hepatus platform provides liver stiffness measurement (LSM) for fibrosis assessment and Liver UltraSound Attenuation (LiSA) for quantitative assessment of hepatic steatosis. The Hepatus 6 further expands capabilities with diagnostic ultrasound imaging for abdominal imaging, Doppler, spleen stiffness assessment, and intestinal ultrasound, creating a versatile platform for hepatology and gastroenterology applications.
LiverRight's network of hepatologists and advanced practice providers is licensed across all 50 U.S. states, supporting adults with conditions such as MASLD/MASH, alcohol-associated liver disease, hepatitis B and C, primary biliary cholangitis, primary sclerosing cholangitis, autoimmune hepatitis, and liver cancer diagnosis. The partnership offers a scalable approach for health systems, GI and hepatology practices, and independent providers to expand liver services under their own brand, combining advanced technology, clinical support, specialist interpretation, and continued care pathways.
