King Global Ventures Inc. (CSE: KING) (OTCQB: KGLDF) (FSE: 5LM1) is advancing exploration at its Black Canyon/Silver Cord project near Cleator, Arizona, as the U.S. government intensifies efforts to rebuild domestic mining workforce capacity and secure critical mineral supply chains. The company is currently conducting a 14,000-foot diamond drill program at the Iron Horse target to test priority geophysical anomalies for potential volcanogenic massive sulphide (VMS) mineralization within the Lower Spud Mountain Formation.
Recent drilling, geological mapping, and XRF analysis have identified prospective volcanic stratigraphy, hydrothermal alteration, feeder-style geochemical responses, and multiple marker horizons. Wedge drilling from hole IH-26-03 is being utilized to further test the target at depth. Previous drilling at Silver Cord, completed in December 2025, intersected high-grade polymetallic veins containing silver, gold, lead, zinc, and antimony, including a 9-foot interval grading 619.6 g/t silver, 1.0 g/t gold, 0.6% lead, 1.05% zinc, and 375 g/t antimony.
This exploration activity aligns with a broader national focus on mining. On August 7, 2026, the White House announced $100 million in funding for 14 U.S. mining schools as part of over $2 billion in new mining and mining-related investments, and more than $180 million dedicated to mining school and workforce programs. This policy backdrop could support domestic exploration companies targeting strategic minerals such as antimony, which is critical for defense and technology applications.
King Global Ventures is focused on exploring precious and base metals in North America. The Black Canyon Project in Yavapai County, Arizona, comprises 213 contiguous claims covering 4,000 acres and includes 15 former operating mines, such as the past-producing Howard Copper Mine. Located approximately 100 kilometers north of Phoenix, the project represents an early-stage exploration opportunity targeting copper-gold-silver-zinc VMS mineralization. The region has a significant history of mining, including operations at Bagdad, Jerome, and Cleopatra. The property is on trend and approximately 13 kilometers northwest of Arizona Metals Corp. (TSX: AMC).
The Howard Copper Mine Property, on 78 acres of patented land, was discovered in the early 1920s and saw small-scale production focused on high-grade copper. Historical reports indicate the main shaft reached the 900-foot level, but no ore was mined below the 500-foot level.
Additionally, King Global holds the Mikwam Gold Property in Noseworthy Township within the Abitibi Greenstone Belt of northeastern Ontario. This property lies along the Casa Berardi Deformation Zone, which hosts Detour Gold's Burntbush Property. The Mikwam deposit is hosted within Timiskaming-aged polymictic conglomerate and greywacke units, containing disseminated and vein-hosted gold mineralization associated with quartz-carbonate veins and pyrite.
