The car seats are designed to protect children from rear-facing infancy (5–40 lbs) through forward-facing toddlerhood (22–65 lbs). The 100 winning families will be invited to collect their car seats at a celebratory community event on Saturday, July 25th, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM in the Kajy Law parking lot at 18000 W. Nine Mile Road, Southfield, MI.
The event, held in partnership with local radio station 92.3 The Mix, will feature a live appearance by radio personality Bushman and sponsorship from WJBK FOX 2. To ensure the giveaway translates directly into real-world protection, the Southfield Fire and Police Departments will be on-site to provide tours of a fire truck and assist families with hands-on, proper car seat installation. The afternoon will also include complimentary refreshments, prizes, an ice cream cart, and a bounce house.
