JoySauce TV Launches on Roku, Becoming Most Widely Distributed AAPI Network

JoySauce TV, the leading streaming network for American Asian stories and Asian pop culture, has officially launched on the Roku Channel, marking a major milestone in its rapid expansion. The launch, effective June 30, 2026, gives JoySauce access to over 100 million households, making it the first AAPI-focused channel to be added on Roku. This move solidifies JoySauce's position as the most widely distributed TV network dedicated to AAPI content.

The Roku debut follows recent launches on Amazon Prime Video and Plex, continuing JoySauce's momentum as it builds the premier destination for American Asian entertainment. Viewers can now access JoySauce TV for free across Roku, Amazon Prime Video, Plex, YouTube, JoySauce.TV, and mobile applications. This expansion is part of a strategy to reach audiences where they increasingly consume content: on connected televisions.

Founded by tech entrepreneur Jonathan Sposato, JoySauce was created to address a gap in media representation while celebrating the cultural influence of American Asians. The network offers a diverse library of original productions and acquired content, including scripted comedy, feature films, reality programming, documentaries, music, stand-up comedy, and community conversations. Notable programming highlights include 'JoySauce Late Night,' the first-ever AAPI late-night talk show, and 'Jokes with JoySauce,' an all-AAPI stand-up comedy series currently in Emmy consideration. Other offerings include 'Team Tan,' following professional race car driver Samantha Tan, live cultural moments, Asian Cinema Showcase, cult classics, Asian game shows, and anime and tokusatsu programming.

The expansion comes amid a period of accelerating growth for JoySauce, which has broadened its distribution footprint, expanded its original programming slate, and forged new partnerships. The network's recent submission of 'Jokes With JoySauce' for Emmy consideration underscores its commitment to quality content. According to Jonathan Sposato, 'Five years ago, JoySauce started with a simple belief: American Asians deserve a much bigger stage. Today, we're building that big stage. Launching on Roku is another important step toward making Asian American stories available wherever audiences choose to watch.'

Brandon Ferguson, COO and CFO of JoySauce, emphasized the importance of building a lasting media company: 'Every new platform expands our reach, but it also strengthens the ecosystem we're building around American Asian culture. Roku is another important step in creating an institution that can continue serving audiences, creators, and partners for the long term.' Narumi Inatsugu, Co-Founder and CCO, added, 'The next chapter is ownership. Ownership of our stories. Ownership of our platforms. JoySauce isn't simply a place where content lives. It's a cultural engine where creators, audiences, and communities create momentum together.'

Jake Rubin, Co-founding Executive of Digital Networks, highlighted the market gap: 'We recognized the glaring absence of the Asian Pacific American experience, coupled with the insatiable demand for Asian pop culture entertainment. Even in a 900+ channel universe, there were voids in the marketplace.' Additional programming announcements and platform expansions are planned throughout 2026 as JoySauce continues its mission to become the leading home for American Asian entertainment.
