HR.com's HR Research Institute Forms 2027 Talent Acquisition Advisory Board to Guide Future Research and Industry Insights

HR.com's HR Research Institute has unveiled its 2027 Talent Acquisition Advisory Board, a distinguished group of HR and talent acquisition (TA) professionals tasked with shaping the institute's upcoming research and a virtual event. The board's insights will focus on how organizations assess the effectiveness of their talent acquisition functions, the challenges they face, and the strategies, technologies, and metrics they use to attract and hire talent.

The research will also examine the impact of modern technology on the candidate and recruiter experience, providing a comprehensive look at the current state and future direction of talent acquisition. “This new board brings together deep expertise that will be instrumental in ensuring this research delivers practical, actionable insights for HR and talent acquisition leaders as they prepare for what’s next,” said Debbie McGrath, CEO of HR.com.

As part of the initiative, the research will explore evolving hiring needs, TA priorities, automation, and emerging technologies, while identifying practices linked to stronger outcomes. These findings will inform a corresponding virtual event, the Future of Talent Acquisition 2027 Virtual Event, scheduled for January 27, 2027, which will be offered free to the HR community.

The advisory board includes a diverse array of experts: Julia Aybin, Senior Recruiting Manager at Rippling; Talia Edmundson, Founder and Principal of HRnB Consulting; Brian Gilbert, Head of Global Talent Acquisition at Nova Biomedical; Keirsten Greggs, Founder and Principal Talent Acquisition Consultant; Steve Levy, a Global Talent Acquisition & Sourcing Expert; Hannah Miller, Senior Talent Acquisition Partner at St. Francis Health System; Tara Turk-Haynes, VP of People and Talent at Equity Activations; and Emily Walsh, Nurse Recruiter at UMC Health System.

The HR Research Institute releases annual “State of the Industry” reports across various HR topics, including last year's Future of Talent Acquisition 2026 report. These and other free research reports and infographics can be downloaded at hr.com/researchinstitute.

This research is vital for HR professionals seeking to stay ahead of talent acquisition trends, as it provides data-backed insights that can inform strategic decisions. By understanding the challenges and opportunities in the field, organizations can better adapt their hiring practices to attract and retain top talent in a competitive landscape.
