The inaugural AI+OPC Innovation and Development Conference convened from June 29 to 30 in Shangcheng District, Hangzhou, bringing together approximately 400 delegates from government, industry, finance, and AI enterprises. The event focused on the emerging concept of one-person companies (OPCs), a form of smart economy enabled by artificial intelligence. Attendees exchanged insights on AI innovation and cross-industry integration, aiming to position Hangzhou as a national benchmark for AI+OPC entrepreneurship.
During the opening ceremony, several key releases were announced, including the 2026 national OPC development observation report and Hangzhou's 2026–2028 action plan to build a national AI+OPC entrepreneurship hub. The city also unveiled supporting policies and a catalog of actionable AI+OPC application scenarios. Attendees received an in-depth interpretation of the specifications for AI-enabled OPC community services and evaluation.
Milestone events included plaque awards for Hangzhou's priority AI+OPC incubation communities and dedicated observation sites, the official launch of the AI+OPC Community Alliance initiative, and a kickoff marking the start of construction for the national AI+OPC entrepreneurship hub.
The open forum featured keynote speeches from distinguished leaders, including Pan Yunhe, former executive vice president of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and professor at Zhejiang University; Liang Gui, former executive vice governor of Jiangxi Province; and Zou Ling, head of Hong Hub, Shangcheng District's single-member unicorn startup acceleration community. A panel dialogue followed with representatives from Moshu OPC Community (Beijing E-Town), Soochow University, Qingju Hub, and Puhua Capital.
Concurrent events included an OPC capital-industry matchmaking salon, a symposium on industry-education integration for AI-powered OPC sectors, and a national exchange forum for AI+OPC community practitioners. The conference underscored the role of OPCs as a vibrant new engine for economic vitality and high-quality development, uniting innovators nationwide to drive digital momentum for Hangzhou's super-individual economy.
