Golden Goose Resources Ltd. has executed a definitive agreement with Valcheta Exploraciones S.A.S. to acquire up to a 100% interest in the Gran Esperanza Project, a high-grade epithermal gold-silver property in Río Negro Province, Argentina. The deal marks a significant milestone for the company, reinforcing its strategy of securing district-scale precious metal assets in emerging mining jurisdictions.
The Gran Esperanza Project encompasses approximately 44,400 hectares in the Los Menucos District, part of the North Patagonian Massif, a region recognized for high-grade precious metal potential. The property is surrounded by major operators, including Southern Copper, and is near the Calcatreu Project currently under development. Historical exploration has mapped over 10 kilometers of low-sulfidation epithermal gold vein exposures, with veins averaging 1-5 meters in apparent width. Trenching and channel sampling have yielded high-grade results, including 2.0 meters at 24.0 g/t Au and 5.0 meters at 13.1 g/t Au.
Under the definitive agreement, Golden Goose can earn up to a 100% interest through staged option payments totaling US$1,889,500 and exploration expenditures of US$2,599,000 over several years. The project is subject to a 1.0% net smelter return royalty, half of which can be purchased for US$1.0 million. The company retains flexibility to accelerate payments or expenditures.
Prior to the agreement, Golden Goose conducted due diligence including a site visit in December 2025, during which rock-chip samples were collected. Three of four samples returned gold values above 2.0 g/t Au, with one grading 14.34 g/t Au, confirming the high-grade potential. CEO Dustin Nanos commented, “Signing the Definitive Agreement for Gran Esperanza represents an important milestone and transformative step for Golden Goose. The Project stands out due to its favorable structural and geological setting, confirmation of numerous surface-exposed vein networks, excellent historical reported grades, and outstanding site access.”
