FORTEC Group Expands Management Team with Key International Appointments

FORTEC Elektronik Aktiengesellschaft, a leading provider of display technology and power supply solutions, is broadening its management team with several key appointments across its international subsidiaries. The moves are part of the company's ongoing reorganization and growth strategy, aimed at devolving greater responsibility and decision-making authority to regional divisions.

In the Czech Republic, Martin Novak became Managing Director of FORTEC CZ on June 1, 2026. He is responsible for the existing production facility in Dysina and will oversee the move to a new production site as well as planned expansion. FORTEC CZ manufactures electronic assemblies and DC/DC converters and assembles displays with touchscreens. Novak brings more than 20 years of international management experience in logistics, production, automotive, and operational management. His expertise includes production and logistics management, process optimization, change management, and organizational development.

At the US subsidiary FORTEC US, Paul Hooper took on the role of Managing Director and Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) on July 1, 2026. He previously served as Managing Director of Sales at FORTEC UK, where he was responsible for strategic sales and marketing direction and successfully reorganized the business. Hooper is now tasked with replicating that success in the US market, focusing on driving organic growth and expanding market presence. Together with co-Managing Director Scott Makboulian, he will broaden the company's footprint in North America. Hooper has over 30 years of experience in the international electronics industry, with expertise in market analysis, leadership, and sales.

Rhett Evans will succeed Paul Hooper at FORTEC UK effective September 8, 2026. Evans brings more than 25 years of experience in the electronics industry, with substantial expertise in embedded computing, display technologies, and customized system solutions. His background in electronic engineering, combined with sales and management experience, positions him well for the role.

Patrick von Unold will become Managing Director of FORTEC Integrated on October 1, 2026. This subsidiary is an internationally active provider of display technology and embedded computing and plays a key role in the group's research and development. Von Unold has extensive international management experience in the electronics industry, particularly in embedded electronics, display and touch technologies, and human-machine interfaces. His experience in sectors such as medical technology, automation, and transport gives him a blend of technical expertise and understanding of product strategy and manufacturing processes.

“With the personnel decisions we have taken, we are implementing a key part of the FORTEC Group’s new growth strategy. In doing so, we are strengthening the regional divisions and giving them greater scope to respond to the specific characteristics of their respective markets, whilst at the same time benefiting from the strength of an internationally active group. I look forward to working together with this dedicated team on FORTEC’s future success,” says Michael Spatny, COO of FORTEC.

These appointments underscore FORTEC's commitment to decentralizing management and empowering regional leaders to better serve local markets. The company, founded in 1984, has grown from a distributor of standard solutions to a provider of customized developments and complete system designs. With sites in Germany, Switzerland, the Netherlands, the UK, the US, the Czech Republic, and Egypt, the group is positioning itself for continued growth and innovation.
