Darren Ewert and Mike Dreher, co-founders of the online business community known as the Dream Team, were featured leadership speakers at Enagic Canada's 20th anniversary celebration in Vancouver on September 20, 2026. The event, presented by Enagic as its 52nd Anniversary Global Recognition Celebration, drew more than 1,200 attendees, according to the Dream Team. The appearance underscores the growing visibility of independent distributors within the direct-selling industry and the role online communities now play in building large-scale sales networks.
Enagic Canada has operated since 2006, and its parent company describes itself as a pioneer in alkaline water ionization technologies since 1974, with more than 50 years of heritage in Japan. Its product line includes the Leveluk series of machines, such as the Leveluk K8, SD501DX and SD501 Platinum, as well as the Anespa DX home spa system. The anniversary celebration not only marked two decades of Enagic's Canadian operations but also served as a platform to recognize top distributors like Ewert and Dreher, whose success illustrates how independent sellers can achieve prominence within a global brand's ecosystem.
Ewert and Dreher are independent Enagic distributors who reached the 10-year mark in the industry in April 2026. They built the Dream Team online, starting with a Facebook group of 30 people in 2016. In a March 2026 interview on the Direct Selling Accelerator podcast, they said the group had grown to about 276,000 members. That scale is significant because it demonstrates the potential of digital community-building to amplify reach and mentorship in network marketing, a sector traditionally reliant on in-person recruitment.
The pair came to online business from different starting points. According to an earlier interview on the same podcast, Dreher worked in corporate sales and marketing before moving into business coaching, while Ewert brought an online marketing background that included email marketing. They describe their approach as online network marketing, with a mentor-led model in which the person who introduces a new member guides rather than does the work for them. This model may offer a more sustainable and scalable alternative to traditional direct selling structures, where personal networks are often limited.
"It was an honour to be featured among the leadership speakers at Enagic Canada's anniversary celebration and to be part of a milestone that so many people in the Enagic community worked toward," said Ewert. "Celebrating a milestone like this alongside so many people from the Enagic community was a highlight of our year," added Dreher. Their speeches likely aimed to inspire attendees and reinforce the credibility of online-driven network marketing.
The Enagic celebration followed the Dream Team BC Gather and Grow, which the community held in Vancouver on September 19 with about 500 people attending in person and about 500 more online. Earlier in 2026, the community launched a Coaching Training Program in March, met with team members at a Toronto Team Summit in April, and held Gather and Grow events in Ireland and the United Kingdom in May and in Florida in June. These activities highlight the Dream Team's expanding international footprint and its emphasis on continuous training and mentorship.
