Comedy Village NYC, located at 352 West 44th Street in Times Square, has announced two special Pride Month comedy events: "People Be Gay... and Hilarious!" on Wednesday, June 24 at 8PM and "Celebrate Pride Feat" on Thursday, June 25 at 8PM. The shows aim to celebrate laughter, identity, and community during Pride Month, featuring a lineup of standout comedians including Harrison Greenbaum, Jaye McBride, Akeem Woods, Paula J. Leon, and Oscar Aydin.
Harrison Greenbaum, a New York comedian known for his sharp writing and fast-paced delivery, has performed on America's Got Talent, Conan, and Last Comic Standing. Jaye McBride, a trailblazing transgender comedian, was the first openly transgender American comedian to perform at Madison Square Garden and was named to Vulture's "Comedians You Should and Will Know" list in 2022. Akeem Woods brings charisma and rhythm to the stage, while Oscar Aydin rounds out the lineup with high-energy comedy.
"These shows are about celebrating Pride with laughter, visibility, and community," said a Comedy Village representative. "New York City has always been a place where comedy, culture, and identity meet. Pride Month is the perfect time to bring people together for a night of big laughs, great energy, and unforgettable live entertainment in Times Square."
The events are designed for locals, tourists, LGBTQ+ audiences, allies, and Broadway visitors seeking nightlife in NYC. Comedy Village continues to grow as a destination for live stand-up comedy, offering group outings, date nights, and birthday celebrations.
