Charbone Unveils 2026-2030 Strategic Plan to Transform into Integrated Industrial Gas Group

CHARBONE CORPORATION (TSXV: CH; OTCQB: CHHYF; FSE: K47), a North American producer and distributor of clean Ultra High Purity (UHP) hydrogen and strategic industrial gases, today unveiled its comprehensive 2026-2030 strategic plan. The plan marks a pivotal step in the company's evolution from a hydrogen-focused entity into an integrated, global industrial gas group.

Building on its foundation in decarbonized UHP hydrogen, Charbone aims to expand its portfolio to include UHP gases, specialty gases, and, in North America, UHP industrial atmospheric gases. This shift is designed to strengthen recurring revenue and operational efficiency. The company is targeting high-growth industries such as semiconductors, artificial intelligence and data centers, advanced pharmaceuticals, and aerospace and defense technologies, which demand impeccable quality, speed of execution, and security of supply.

Charbone's strategy is built on two pillars. Pillar A focuses on UHP and specialty gases, including UHP hydrogen (HyChem UHP™), helium, electronic gases, and specialty gases, which offer high margins. Pillar B targets industrial and atmospheric gases such as oxygen, nitrogen, UHP argon, CO2, and industrial blends, providing a stable, recurring revenue base and optimizing logistics. This hybrid approach aims to increase commercial depth, customer loyalty, and financial resilience. The company intends to strengthen its presence in the Northeast and Pacific technology corridor of the United States.

A key element of the plan is the continued development and commissioning of the Sorel-Tracy plant in Quebec, which serves as the anchor for North American expansion. Charbone plans to deploy six to eight regional hubs in North America and internationally, using a hub-and-spoke model to reduce time-to-market, standardize operations, strengthen customer relationships, and optimize logistics costs. This model supports growth while maintaining capital discipline.

Internationally, Charbone targets expansion into Germany, establishing a strategic UHP platform in Europe, and Malaysia, as an Asian hub for semiconductors and electronics. This expansion will follow an asset-light approach focused on partnerships and structuring contracts.

“At CHARBONE, we are not changing direction, we are expanding it with discipline,” said Dave B. Gagnon, Chairman and CEO. “We started with one molecule: clean UHP hydrogen. Today, we are building an integrated platform of high-value industrial gases, tailored to the critical needs of the industries of the future.”

Charbone's strategic plan underscores its ambition to become a recognized player known for quality, reliability, and speed of execution, positioning itself as a strategic partner rather than just a supplier. The company's forward-looking statements, as detailed in its management's discussion and analysis, involve risks and uncertainties, but Charbone believes its structured approach will drive growth.
