Canamera Energy Metals Signs LOI to Option Patos Ionic Clay Rare Earth Project in Brazil

Canamera Energy Metals Corp. (CSE: EMET) (OTCQB: EMETF) (FSE: 4LF0) announced it has signed a non-binding letter of intent to acquire an option to earn a 100% interest in the Patos ionic clay rare earth element project in Minas Gerais, Brazil. The project covers approximately 15,979 hectares and represents a strategic addition to Canamera's growing portfolio of rare earth and critical metals assets across the Americas.

The agreement contemplates a two-stage process beginning with a C$20,000 due diligence auger drill program of up to 10 holes to confirm ionic clay REE mineralization. If exercised, the option would require aggregate consideration of C$228,000 in cash and C$307,800 in common shares, with a 2% net smelter return royalty in favor of the vendor and a buyback right to reduce the royalty to 1% for C$228,000. This structure allows Canamera to advance the project with minimal upfront capital while preserving future upside.

The Patos project is located in the prolific mining state of Minas Gerais, which has a long history of mineral production and supportive mining regulations. Ionic clay rare earth deposits are particularly attractive due to their potential for low-cost processing and high recovery rates of critical magnet metals such as neodymium, praseodymium, dysprosium, and terbium. These elements are essential for permanent magnets used in electric vehicles, wind turbines, and other clean energy technologies.

Canamera Energy Metals Corp. is a rare earth and critical metals exploration company building a portfolio of district-scale opportunities across the Americas. The Company’s asset base includes the Mantle project in British Columbia, the Garrow rare earth elements project in Northern Ontario, the Schryburt Lake rare earth and niobium project in Ontario, the Iron Hills critical and rare earth project in Colorado, USA, and the Turvolândia and São Sepé rare earth element projects in Brazil. Across this portfolio, Canamera targets underexplored regions with strong geological signatures and supportive jurisdictions, applying geochemical, geophysical, and geological datasets to generate and advance high-conviction, first-mover exploration targets.

The importance of this announcement lies in the growing global demand for rare earth elements, particularly from Western sources. China currently dominates the rare earth supply chain, and the U.S. and other nations are seeking to diversify supply through projects like Patos. By expanding its Brazilian footprint, Canamera positions itself to become a significant supplier of critical minerals needed for the energy transition.
