The scholarship will provide $1,000 to one student to help cover tuition, books, and other academic expenses. The program is open to students across the United States who are currently enrolled in or accepted to an accredited undergraduate, graduate, or professional program, including community college students, high school seniors, and GED holders.
The scholarship aims to recognize students who have actively helped others through injury, illness, or hardship. To apply, students must submit an essay of 1,000 words or less responding to three prompts about their experiences in helping others. Additionally, applicants must provide a current resume and an unofficial transcript. All materials must be emailed to scholarships@legalatlanta.com by the deadline of August 31, 2027. The scholarship recipient will be announced on October 1, 2027.
Eligibility requirements include a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 and a demonstrated commitment to helping others during difficult times. The scholarship is intentionally open to students in any field of study, not just those pursuing legal careers. Examples of qualifying experiences include caring for a family member after an accident, volunteering with individuals recovering from injury or illness, or assisting a neighbor in rebuilding after a challenging year.
