Biohacking Index Shifts to Invite-Only Expert Model to Prioritize Credibility Over Popularity

The January 2026 Biohacking Index Report, released Wednesday, marks a significant shift in how wellness and biohacking companies are evaluated. For the first time, the report uses an invite-only expert model, where physicians are selected based on clinical experience, patient outcomes, and alignment with evidence-based care. This approach is designed to ensure that visibility in the biohacking ecosystem is determined by credibility rather than sponsorship or popularity.

Under the new model, invited experts can nominate wellness technologies, diagnostics, or nutraceuticals they actively use or recommend. They may also nominate their own solutions, provided those products complete the full verification process. However, nomination does not guarantee inclusion. Verification remains optional, but credibility remains the standard. The platform emphasizes that being recommended is not the same as being verified, and verification remains an open door, not a requirement.

The January 2026 report features three verified companies: Da Vinci Medical, a manufacturer of advanced recovery and wellness technologies including the SUPERHUMAN Protocol; Lumati, a light-based wellness technology company focused on cellular signaling and recovery; and Truista Coffee, a functional coffee company emphasizing contaminant transparency and third-party lab testing. Each company met the Biohacking Index standards for transparency, documentation, and practitioner relevance.

Physician curation is led by Dr. Lipman, founder of Physical Evidence Chiropractic in Boca Raton, Florida, who integrates advanced diagnostics, regenerative therapies, and recovery technologies into patient care. With over 100 five-star patient reviews and recognition as a Top 10 Provider in the 2025 Biohacking Index Report, his nominations reflect tools used in active clinical practice. Several additional companies were nominated but elected not to pursue verification, and their nominations remain visible to reflect practitioner awareness while maintaining transparency around verification status.

The January 2026 report signals a broader shift in the wellness and longevity industry toward expert-led evaluation and voluntary verification. The full report is available at biohackingindex.com.
