BHS, Inc. Launches Modular Order Picker Attachments to Enhance Warehouse Safety and Flexibility

BHS, Inc., a leading manufacturer of custom material handling equipment based in St. Louis, MO, has announced the release of a new line of attachments for order picker trucks. The modular components allow for task-based optimization, addressing the growing reliance on order picker trucks in narrow-aisle racking environments.

Currently, four product series are available: Modular Order Picker Carts, which feature heavy-duty casters for dual use as pushcarts; Modular Order Picker Platforms, designed solely as truck attachments; and Order Picker Furniture Carts and Furniture Platforms, sized for longer forks on furniture order picker trucks. According to Trent Boothe, Technical Sales Manager at BHS, the goal is to make trucks safer, more productive, and flexible enough to handle various tasks.

A key safety feature is the custom sizing of these attachments to eliminate gaps or offsets between the platform and the truck's operator deck, reducing tripping hazards. The modular design allows users to adjust shelf spacing, remove shelves, or add rails and guarding with standard tools. This flexibility enables the carts and platforms to function like custom equipment without the extended lead times typically associated with made-to-order solutions.

"Our modular solutions ship a lot faster than an all-original product. They give you custom performance without custom lead times," Boothe said. The attachments are available now exclusively from BHS, Inc., which specializes in custom warehouse solutions aimed at enhancing ergonomics and productivity.
