Bestselling author Jody Sharpe, a 1st Place Winner of the 2023 and 2024 National Association of Press Women's Communications Contest for Fiction, has issued a public call for angel stories. These personal accounts can be submitted through her website at https://jodysharpe.com. Selected stories will be featured on her YouTube channel at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1zFlB6SCAJg&t=14s and may appear in her next book, a prequel to the Mystic Bay series.
Sharpe has long incorporated angel encounters into her work, blending real submissions with her own experiences. Her latest novel, New Angel In Town, continues this tradition, weaving fictionalized accounts into a story set in Mystic Bay, California, where angels live as humans. The plot follows Guardian Angel Ron as he ensures a foster child finds a forever home, while a writer documents the townspeople's angel encounters. The book has received praise for its emotional depth and portrayal of child advocacy.
Sharpe's other titles, including To Catch an Angel, Town Of Angels, and The Dog Who Came For Christmas, also explore angelic themes. Her series has garnered recognition, including the "50 Great Writers You Should Be Reading" award. Additionally, Sharpe runs a "Tuesdays With The Angels" section on her site at http://www.jodysharpe.com, sharing real-life angel encounters.
The call for submissions is open to all types of angel stories, including sightings, interactions, and miraculous events. Not all submissions will be accepted, but Sharpe aims to create a diverse collection. She also addresses bullying, particularly regarding special needs children, a topic she explored as a former Special Education teacher. Sharpe's work is driven by personal loss—her daughter and husband—which she says led her to writing about angels as a healing process.
Interested individuals can submit their stories at http://bit.ly/2FV8amd. Sharpe's books are available on Amazon at https://www.amazon.com/stores/Jody-Sharpe/author/B00DPL3382. She is also developing screen treatments for two of her books, The Angel's Daughter and Town Of Angels Christmas.
