Atlas Lithium's Neves Project On Track for Q4 2027 Production, Attracts Strong Offtake Interest

Atlas Lithium Corporation (NASDAQ: ATLX) has confirmed that its 100%-owned and fully permitted Neves Project in Minas Gerais, Brazil, is on track to commence commercial production of lithium oxide concentrate in the fourth quarter of 2027. The vertically integrated mining and processing complex is designed to produce approximately 150,000 tonnes annually, and written product interest from multiple companies already totals more than three times the planned production capacity. This strong demand underscores the strategic importance of the project in meeting global lithium supply needs.

The project's Definitive Feasibility Study (DFS) projects a 145% after-tax internal rate of return (IRR), an 11-month payback period, and operating costs of $489 per tonne. These figures highlight the project's robust economic viability, which is critical as lithium prices face volatility. The company has also made significant progress on detailed engineering, project management, construction, earthworks, and electromechanical work, with partner contracts finalized at or below the DFS budget levels. This disciplined approach to cost management is expected to enhance the project's profitability and reduce execution risks.

Beyond the financial metrics, the Neves operation is anticipated to generate more than 5,000 direct and indirect jobs in Brazil's Jequitinhonha Valley, contributing to local economic development. Atlas Lithium holds approximately 557 square kilometers of mineral rights across Brazilian lithium districts, positioning it as the largest lithium exploration footprint in Brazil among publicly listed companies. The company intends to expand Neves industrial capacity and develop additional processing facilities across its broader project portfolio, leveraging its extensive land position to capitalize on the growing demand for lithium in electric vehicle batteries and energy storage systems.

The successful execution of the Neves Project is pivotal for Atlas Lithium's growth strategy. With offtake interest exceeding supply, the company is well-positioned to secure long-term revenue streams. The project's high IRR and rapid payback period make it an attractive investment, and the company's commitment to cost control and timely delivery is likely to build investor confidence. As the world transitions to cleaner energy, lithium remains a critical component, and Atlas Lithium's progress on Neves could significantly impact the global lithium supply chain.
