Angkor Resources Launches 2,800-Meter Diamond Drill Program at Andong Bor Copper-Gold Target in Cambodia

Angkor Resources Corp. (TSXV: ANK) announced on June 24, 2026, the initiation of a 2,800-meter diamond drilling program at its Andong Bor copper-gold target in Cambodia. The program is designed to test the Thmei North (TN) target, a one-square-kilometer copper anomaly, and is staged over the next eight months to accommodate the Cambodian seasons.

The first phase consists of three 400-meter holes, starting immediately, to be completed before the heavy rains. The second phase, comprising the remaining 1,600 meters, is scheduled for early 2027 after the fields dry and crops are harvested. The holes will be drilled to the east to better intersect mineralized beds, based on structural insights from 2025 drilling that revealed north-northwest striking, steeply west-dipping mineralization controls.

Dennis Ouellette, VP Exploration, explained: "Our 2025 drilling told us how this system is oriented. The structures controlling mineralization are north-northwest striking and steeply west dipping, so by drilling to the east we put the core across the mineralized beds rather than down them. The best copper sits in the potassic-altered sediments next to the feldspar porphyry diorite dikes, and an eastward orientation lets us cut the most of that favorable host as we pass in and out of the intrusive dikes."

Core will be logged, photographed, and sampled, with selected intervals dispatched for assay as the program progresses. The Andong Bor license covers 100.28 square kilometers in Oddar Meanchey and Banteay Meanchey provinces. This drilling follows a modified copper porphyry model where best mineralization occurs in potassic-altered sediments adjacent to feldspar porphyry diorite dikes varying from meters to tens of meters wide.

Beyond Thmei North, the Thmei South target requires further auger soil geochemistry to extend the copper anomaly southward and will be the focus of subsequent drill programs. The company holds two mineral exploration licenses in Cambodia through its subsidiary Angkor Gold Corp. Co., Ltd., with multiple copper and gold prospects.

This announcement is significant as it represents a systematic step toward defining a copper-gold resource in a region with limited exploration history. Successful drilling could establish Cambodia as a viable mining jurisdiction. The program's design, informed by prior structural data, increases the probability of intersecting significant mineralization.

Dennis Ouellette, B.Sc., P.Geo., is the Qualified Person as defined by NI 43-101 and has reviewed the technical disclosure. The company is also advancing oil and gas exploration through its subsidiary EnerCam Resources Co., Ltd., which holds a Production Sharing Contract for Block VIII and has identified multiple drill targets following 2D-seismic in 2025.
